Sunrun is the number one home solar & battery company in America. The goal of this app was to encourage homeowners to live their best lives with powerful insights into their energy performance and the ability to control how they produce, store, and consume electricity. A self-service app that can monitor all systems, track energy production, pay bills, and get instant support. I help design direct this project at AKQA NY leading brand vision and art direction, coming up an elegant, reductive typography-first design, alongside a team of UX and UI designers, product managers, and strategists. This project involved weekly collaboration with client leadership, addressing immediate tasks related to potential features.

Typography-first, with strong color blocking creates a sense of elegance and simplicity, helping users focus on what matters most. On the dashboard, users can see solar energy production in kilowatt hours with a toggle between day, week and then month. Then an action sheet that shows energy usage, with a glanceable and interactive graph that shows usage from their grid, battery, or solar panels.

In the discover tab, users can gain additional context in small delightful cards to learn about how much impact they are making by the day.

I also helped develop an internal Sunrun tool — The Sunrun Sales App. This robust tool empowers Sunrun Reps and Employees to better serve and understand solar customers, optimizing operational efficiency.
